  • Adapters

    Your room is equipped with a 220V electricity supply.

  • AED/First Aid

    An AED and a first aid kit are available at the reception.

  • Aids

    A limited supply of assistive devices, such as a shower chair, is available in the hotel. Please contact the reception for more information.

  • Bicycle rental

    Bicycle rentals are available. By making an online reservation, you will receive a €5.00 discount per bike. For more prices and availability, please inquire at the reception.

  • Bicycle storage

    At the back of the hotel parking lot, we have a covered and secure bicycle storage area. This storage will be open from 8 A.M. to 8 P.M. If you need to access the bicycle storage outside of these hours, the reception will be happy to accompany you. Unfortunately, there is currently no option to charge electric bikes here, but you can store your bike rack if needed.

  • Breakfast

    The breakfast buffet is located in the restaurant.
    Monday to Friday: 6:30 A.M. – 10:30 A.M.
    Saturday and Sunday: 7:30 A.M. – 11 A.M.

    It is also possible to order breakfast in bed; room service charges will apply. You can inform our reception the evening before.

  • Check-out

    We kindly ask you to check out by 12 P.M. If you wish to stay in your room longer, this is subject to availability and may incur an extension fee. Different rates and conditions apply for suites and family rooms. Please inquire at the reception about the options.
    As a Valk Loyal guest, you can enjoy a free Lazy Sunday on Sundays, subject to availability.

  • Cot

    It is possible to reserve a cot (0-3 years). We charge an additional fee for placing a cot in the room. For more information, please contact the reception.

  • Complaints

    If you have a comment or complaint, please contact the reception. We will always try to resolve your issue directly. You can also send your comments or suggestions to emmeloord@valk.nl.

  • Doctor

    If you need a general practitioner during your stay, please contact the reception. Outside of office hours, for urgent cases, you can reach the out-of-hours medical service at 0900-3336 333.

  • Do not distrub

    In your room, you will find a 'Do Not Disturb' door hanger. If you do not wish to be disturbed, please hang it on the outside of your door. The housekeeping staff will then leave a bag with fresh towels at your door.

  • Emergency exit

    All emergency exits are clearly marked in the hallways, and on the inside of your room door, you will find the shortest route to the outside in case of an emergency.

  • Emergencies

    In case of emergencies, please contact the reception. For serious emergencies, also call 112 immediately.

  • Extra bed

    An extra bed can be provided based on availability, room type and for an additional fee.

  • Fire safety

    The entire building is equipped with smoke detectors. If you notice a fire, please follow these steps:
    1. Report the fire.
    - Activate the manual alarm and call 9 (using your room phone).
    - Provide us with: your name, what is on fire, where it is located, and if there are people in danger.
    2. Warn others in the vicinity.
    3. Extinguish the fire if possible (follow the instructions on the extinguisher). Remember, your own safety comes first!
    4. Close doors and windows.
    5. Use the stairs, not the elevator.
    6. Check if everyone is safe.
    7. Report to the reception."

  • Fitness

    The fitness center is located on the ground floor. Towels are available here. Please take a look at our fitness facilities.

  • Front Desk

    You can reach our Front Desk by dialing 9 on the phone in your room/suite. We are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. During the night, the Front Desk is staffed by the night porter. Please note that the main entrance will be closed from 11:30 PM to 6:30 AM. You can use the intercom next to the entrance.

  • Green Choice/Orange Choice

    During your stay, your hotel room is typically cleaned daily. However, if you choose the 'Green Choice', you contribute directly to a better environment. Each time a guest opts to skip room cleaning, a tree is planted in Scotland. With the 'Orange Choice', we plant half a tree. This is part of the Valk Exclusief program Trees4Next.

  • Hairdryer

    You can find a hairdryer in the wardrobe of your room.

  • Internet

    Need to check your email or update your social media? Throughout the hotel, you can use wireless internet free of charge. You can connect to the network named 'Van der Valk Emmeloord' from anywhere in the hotel. This is accessible on your phone, tablet, laptop, and other mobile devices. No access code or password is required.

  • Iron/ironing board

    An iron and ironing board can be found in your room.

  • Laundry

    In your room, you will find a special laundry bag. You can use this to submit your clothing to the reception for cleaning. If you do this on weekdays before 8 A.M., you will receive it back the same day. This service is not available on weekends and public holidays.

  • Liability

    The hotel cannot be held liable for lost items from the hotel room, meeting room, or public areas (including the cloakroom and lockers).

  • Lost and found

    If you have found or lost something, please visit the reception. The reception keeps lost items for a maximum period of 3 months. The hotel is not liable for the loss or theft of your belongings.

  • Lunch package

    At the Front Desk, it is possible to order a packed lunch for a fee. You can provide your preferences on a form at the Front Desk.

  • Luggage storage

    It is possible to use the luggage storage at the reception. Van der Valk Hotel Emmeloord is not liable for loss and/or damage to your belongings.

  • Mail

    If you have mail that you would like to send, you can drop it off at the reception. We also offer a service to frank your mail; please note that there will be charges for this. If your mail is already stamped, you can simply hand it in at the Front Desk.

  • Meeting room

    Do you have a meeting, conference, exhibition, or wedding planned? Inquire about the options with the Sales department or visit our website.

  • Messages

    If there are messages for you, we will notify you by phone or in writing. For guest messages, please deliver them to the reception or call us at 9, and we will ensure they are properly conveyed to the guest.

  • Minibar

    Each room is equipped with a small refrigerator, which you can use free of charge during your stay. Please note that it is not stocked. A minibar package can be ordered at the reception.

  • Parking

    Around the hotel, you will find ample parking space that you can use free of charge as a hotel guest. For more information, please visit this website.

  • Payment method

    We accept the following payment methods:
    - Debit/Maestro
    - Credit card
    - Cash
    - Van der Valk Gift Card
    - Dinerbon.nl Gift Card

    When reserving a room, we will hold it for you until 6:00 PM. You have two options to confirm the reservation: you can prepay via the payment link that will be sent a few days before your reservation, or you can make a credit card authorization to ensure that the room is guaranteed for your stay.

    If you would like to book a package, the terms of FLEX24 apply. This means that you must make a deposit for your package 24 hours in advance, and cancellations are only possible up to 24 hours before the start, unlike the previous option of 6:00 PM on the same day.

  • Pets

    Pets are not allowed in the hotel. If pets are found in the room, a cleaning fee of €75 will be charged. However, we are happy to make an exception for guide dogs and assistance dogs, which are most welcome.

  • Pilows/duvets

    An extra pillow can be found in the closet of your hotel room. More pillows and duvets are available upon request. Please contact the reception for this service.

  • Public transport

    At the reception, you can obtain information about public transportation in the area, or visit this website.

  • Restaurant

    In the restaurant, you can enjoy breakfast, lunch, and dinner throughout the day. We recommend reserving a table at the reception to avoid disappointment.

    - Monday to Friday from 6:30 A.M. to 11 P.M.
    - Saturday and Sunday from 7 A.M. to 11 P.M.

  • Safe

    In the closet of your room, you will find a safe. The instructions for use are located on the front of the safe. Please do not leave money or other valuable items unattended in your room. Management is not liable for the loss or theft of personal belongings.

  • Smoking

    Van der Valk Hotel Emmeloord is a non-smoking hotel. Smoking is not permitted in the rooms or in public areas. The use of super-smokers or e-cigarettes is also not allowed. Smoking is only permitted outside the hotel. If you smoke on the balcony, please ensure that the balcony door is closed.

  • Smoking detected

    If it is found that smoking has occurred in the room, a cleaning fee of €175 will be charged. This must be paid immediately at the reception. It is strictly prohibited to disable or interfere with the smoke detector or its components. If this is detected, you will be removed from the hotel without a refund of any paid costs.

  • Streaming services

    At our hotel, we want to ensure that your stay is as pleasant as possible. That’s why we offer a streaming service where you can watch your favorite movies and series. Please note that on the day of check-out, the login details will be automatically removed at 12:00 P.M.

  • Toiletries

    A limited selection of toiletries is available at the reception.

  • Tourist information

    You can perfectly combine your stay at Van der Valk Hotel Emmeloord with a visit to the Weerribben-Wieden National Park. Please ask at the reception for a city map of Emmeloord or more information about the surrounding area. You can also visit this website.

  • Vending machine

    On the ground floor, next to the stairwell, you will find a vending machine with various drinks and snacks.

  • Visitors

    If you wish to receive visitors, they must check in at the Front Desk for registration due to fire safety regulations. It is not allowed to have visitors in your room after 10 P.M. A maximum number of guests is permitted in all rooms and suites.

  • Wake-up call

    Please contact the reception and provide your desired wake-up time.

  • Wheelchair

    A wheelchair is available in the hotel. Please inquire at the reception for availability.
